By "strong lateral connections," I don't mean "familiarity" or "a lot of interaction between employees," but rather the ease of work-related cooperation and communication.
Because gaming machine development is a team effort, there are many things you don't understand, are anxious about, or are outside your area of expertise.
When these issues arise, I think it's great that we have an environment where you can easily ask not only project members, but also other project members and people from other departments. *In fact, many companies have weak lateral connections.
Of course, this wouldn't be possible if employees didn't get along, so I think a positive atmosphere throughout the company is also a distinctive feature of ALEX.
In manufacturing, it's said that "good ideas and good work don't come from a lack of slack," but there are still times when I find myself pressed for time due to deadlines and work.
I'm still learning how to divide up work with other team members and improve work efficiency.
In that environment, my first goal is to "create gaming machines with plenty of slack," and to create a machine that will be described as a "big hit" through a project that I can say I "completed perfectly."
As a developer, you can approach consoles from a different perspective than you would as a user.
The industry is full of rewards, joys, hardships, worries, and frustrations. However, as the saying goes, "Love makes perfect," and depending on your passion for consoles, you can change that ratio to 5:5 or 8:2, I believe this is the kind of work you can do.
I myself entered the industry with aspirations as a fresh graduate, but the fact that someone as easily discouraged as me has been able to stick with it for over 20 years makes me believe that this is definitely the right choice.
Of course, everyone has to start from zero, so it can be a bit intimidating.

As the project leader, I am responsible for managing the entire project, as well as for planning.
The project leader's job is to provide overall direction and coordination to guide the project toward achieving its goals.
My main role is to lead the team and produce results while understanding on-site practical matters.
Planning work involves designing the gameplay and presentation, as well as deciding the direction of related sound and lamps.
The planning position involves working as a total designer for the platform.
I find the process of the client and the team coming together to complete a machine rewarding and fascinating.
A gaming machine cannot be completed by one person.
With a team of professionals from various fields, planning is the core of the entire project.
This can often lead to feelings of pressure and anxiety, but I also feel a sense of accomplishment and relief after overcoming each hurdle, and I believe it is a job that allows me to grow with each project.
It may sound cliché, but the elation when a machine I've worked on hits the market, the excitement when the market's evaluation is announced, the anxiety of wondering if there will be any problems - those mixed emotions - are special experiences that can only be experienced in this job.
